The Central IT Application Development Group is available to help faculty, staff, and students at the School of Medicine design and create custom-designed databases and websites. Our programmers and web developers specialize in creating tools and resources that improve productivity, enhance communication and marketing efforts, and provide for secure and efficient management of information.
With extensive experience on both the Lotus Notes and Microsoft .NET development platforms, the Application Development group has created tools that support the teaching, patient care, and research activities at the School of Medicine.
To create web sites, our group works in collaboration with the Office of Medical Public Affairs. Together, we can provide you with an integrated team of programmers, graphic artists, and content editors experienced in designing effective and visually appealing web sites that promote and market the education programs, clinical services, and departments of the school. We specialize in creating content management systems that make it easy for staff with no previous web experience to manage and update their web content.
In addition to building web sites, we can also design specialized web applications for managing clinical and research data that are secure and compliant with all HIPAA guidelines.
